Originally from York, PA, Laurie moved to Florida in 1997. She has been a resident of Orange
City since 2009. Previously, she resided in DeLand and Ft. Walton Beach. Laurie graduated from the University of West Florida in 2003, with a bachelor’s degree in
Criminal Justice. She has worked in real estate title as a title examiner since 2000 and is
currently Senior Vice President of the examination department at Proplogix, supervising a team
of 9. Laurie also spent three years working as a domestic relations caseworker for Seminole
County where she was a sworn deputy clerk. She is a dynamic leader who prides herself on
fairness and honesty. She feels that a strong family is the most important mission in life and has been happily married
to her husband, David, for 30 years. David is a commercial painter in the local area. They have
3 grown children and one grandson, whom they adore. Laurie believes in giving back to the community through volunteerism and has been a member
of the Orange City Sorosis Club for 8 years. She is currently on the Executive Board where she
oversees membership. She has spearheaded a food drive for Orange City Elementary School
and a hygiene drive for River Springs Middle School. As a former foster child, the well-being of
children is a passion of hers.
